GM Paterson was born October 2 in Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada. He spent his early childhood in Sudbury, Ontario before moving to Hamilton, Ontario.

Currently GM earns a living driving a big truck on long hauls from Canada to the southeast USA. His dream is to be a country western singer performing his own music. He is a true songwriter at heart and his lyrics reflect his thoughts and experiences on the road. Before hitting the road in his big truck, GM spent time training horses for show and giving riding lessons. This cowboy way of life is still a real passion for him today.
